What is the Job Search Handbook?
This comprehensive handbook—distributed in print to 4,000 students and alumni and posted online as a digital publication with free downloading—is our most referenced and distributed resource when guiding students and alumni in the job search. It covers everything a student/alumnus needs to know about searching for a job, including preparing for the search, conducting the search successfully, and developing job search correspondence. The handbook is written by the LSU Career Services team and customized for LSU students. The digital version of the 2009-10 handbook had been viewed more than 8,000 times since we posted it in September 2009! In fact, two of our team members presented this project as a best practice at the 2010 National Association of Colleges and Employers conference in June 2010.
